Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering aims to impart students with the techniques to modernize manufacturing industries with the latest trends in manufacturing, using Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing, Computer Integrated Manufacturing etc. By the end of their Four Year curriculum they will be fully trained to suit the needs of the industry and will also be technically competent to work in different fields of interest.

Workshops
Workshop of Aklia college of Engineering and Technology equipped with latest machines have been set up to impart training in various shops like the Machine Shop, the Electrical & Electronics Shop, the Sheet Metal Shop, the Foundry Shop, the Forging Shop, the Carpentry Shop, the Welding Shop and the Fitting Shop. The students gain the knowledge of the various processes of metal cutting, forming, molding, casting, forging, wood working, welding, development of surfaces, electrical wirings, PCB making etc
